Walker named to dean’s list

Kayla Walker, a sophomore in the Mylan School of Pharmacy, was named to the spring 2012 dean’s list at Duquesne University, Pittsburgh.

She is the daughter of Harry and Kaye Walker of Ford City.

Campbell listed by IUP this spring

Rachel C. Campbell, daughter of Mark and Dona Campbell of Ford City, was named to the spring 2012 semester dean’s list at Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

Campbell majored in English education and graduated from IUP on May 12. She is a 2007 graduate of Ford City High School.

Baum graduates in Arkansas

Alexandria L. Baum graduated May 12 from Arkansas State University, Jonesboro, Ark., with a bachelor of science degree in agriculture.

She attended a semester in Canterbury, United Kingdom, at the Canterbury Christ Church University.

During her four years at Arkansas State, Baum was president of Delta Tau Alpha Honor Society, secretary of Panhellenic Counsel, was selected as Who’s Who among students and received the Chancellor’s Ambassador Award for service to Arkansas State University. She was an intern at Ag Watch Media network, and Senator John Boozman of Arkansas, and is employed at Greenway, in Jonesboro, with plans of continuing her education for a masters degree from Arkansas State.

Her parents are Michael W. Baum of Mississippi and Kim Baum of Florida. Her grandparents are J. Wayne and Peggy Baum of Templeton, Janet Hallman of Dayton and Eugene Hallman of Kittanning.

Atwood named 2012 valedictorian

Sarah Atwood, daughter of Kevin and Gwen Atwood of Parker, was the 2012 class valedictorian for Allegheny-Clarion Valley High School.

The graduation ceremony was held May 31.

Atwood was a member of the National Honor Society.

In the fall, she will attend Duquesne University in Pittsburgh to major in biology/pre-med.

Roberts Wesleyan honors States

Steven States of Apollo was named to the dean’s list for the spring 2012 semester at Roberts Wesleyan College, Rochester, N.Y.

Gaiser named at Duquesne

Andrew Gaiser, a freshman in the Mylan School of Pharmacy, was named to the spring 2012 dean’s list at Duquesne University, Pittsburgh.

He is the son of Scott and Mary Jo Gaiser of Worthington.

Area resident honored at Seton Hill

Gina Gladysiewski of Manorville has been named to the spring 2012 dean’s list at Seton Hill University, Greensburg, with an average of 3.7 or above out of a possible 4.0.

Lee named to dean’s list

Lindsey Lee, a freshman in the John G. Rangos Sr. School of Health Sciences, was named to the spring 2012 dean’s list at Duquesne University, Pittsburgh.

She is the daughter of Angela Anthony and Charlie Lee of Kittanning.

Goldinger earns master’s degree

Timothy Goldinger, a 2004 graduate of Kittanning High School, earned his master of athletic training degree from the University of Findlay in Findlay, Ohio. on May 5.

Goldinger received his certification in massage therapy from Butler County Community College and a bachelor’s degree in exercise science from Slippery Rock University.

Last hockey season, he was an athletic-training intern for the Toledo Walleye, a minor league ECHL team for the Detroit Red Wings and Chicago Blackhawks.

He has also worked with two different Division II football teams and various sports at Findlay High School in Ohio.

He has accepted an assistant athletic-training position at Tiffin University in Tifflin, Ohio, and plans to return to the hockey setting after gaining more experience.

He is the son of Peggy and Larry Goldinger of Kittanning.

He is the grandson of Doris Kammerdiener of Kittanning and Carl Kammerdiener of Ford Cliff.
